Cancellation & Refunds

    Cancellation by You

    All cancellations must be submitted in writing via WhatsApp or email to hello@triplio.in. Verbal cancellations are not accepted. The date of written cancellation is the date used to calculate the applicable refund.
    Important — Deposit PolicyThe advance deposit (₹2,000 or as stated on the trip page) is non-refundable under all circumstances. It is collected to secure your seat and is applied against confirmed costs immediately upon booking.

    How to Request a Cancellation

    • Send a written cancellation request via WhatsApp to our registered number or by email to hello@triplio.in
    • Include your full name, booking reference, trip name, and departure date
    • You will receive a written acknowledgement within 24 hours
    • Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 10 business days to the original payment method

    Cancellation by Triplio

    Triplio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a trip under certain circumstances. In such cases, we will notify you at the earliest possible opportunity.

    Circumstances Where Triplio May Cancel

    • Insufficient bookings — if a batch does not meet the minimum required number of confirmed travellers (typically 6), Triplio may cancel the departure
    • Natural disasters, extreme weather, or road closures making travel unsafe
    • Government-imposed restrictions, curfews, or travel advisories
    • Force majeure events including but not limited to floods, landslides, pandemics, or civil unrest

    What You Receive if Triplio Cancels

    • Full refund — 100% of all amounts paid (including the deposit) if Triplio initiates cancellation for operational reasons (insufficient bookings, internal decision)
    • Full credit or rescheduling — if cancellation is due to force majeure or conditions outside Triplio’s control, you will be offered a full credit valid for 12 months or a free transfer to another available departure
    • Triplio is not liable for any consequential losses including flight tickets, hotel bookings made independently, or any other expenses incurred by the traveller
    Our recommendationWe strongly advise all travellers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal belongings. Triplio cannot be held responsible for losses not directly caused by Triplio.

    Mid-Trip Departures & Misconduct Removal

    If a traveller chooses to leave a trip early for personal reasons, no refund will be issued for unused portions of the trip.

    If a traveller is removed from a trip by Triplio due to a breach of our Code of Conduct, Safety Policy, or Terms and Conditions (including but not limited to harassment, intoxication causing disturbance, or wilful damage to property), no refund will be issued and the traveller will be responsible for their own transport and accommodation from the point of removal.

    Zero Tolerance PolicyRemoval due to misconduct is at the sole discretion of the trip lead and/or Triplio management. This decision is final and not subject to appeal or negotiation on-trip.

    Date Changes & Rescheduling

    You may request a date change (to a different departure of the same trip) subject to the following:

    • Date change requests must be made at least 15 days before your original departure date
    • One free date change is permitted per booking if requested 30 or more days before departure
    • Date changes requested between 15 and 29 days before departure are subject to a ₹500 rescheduling fee per person
    • Date changes are subject to availability on the new departure
    • No date changes are permitted within 15 days of departure — the applicable cancellation policy applies instead
