- Payment information — processed and stored securely by Razorpay; Triplio does not store card or bank details
- Trip preferences, special requests, and dietary requirements
- Communication records including WhatsApp messages and emails

How We Use Your Data
- To process and confirm your booking — your name, contact details, and payment information are required to create and manage your reservation
- To communicate with you about your trip — pre-trip briefings, pickup details, packing lists, and post-trip follow-ups via WhatsApp and email
- For safety and emergency purposes — your emergency contact and any disclosed medical information may be accessed by your trip lead in an emergency
- To improve our services — aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us understand how travellers use our website and where we can improve
- To send you relevant communications — with your explicit consent, we may send you information about upcoming trips, offers, and travel content
- Legal and regulatory compliance — we retain records as required by applicable Indian law
We do not sell your dataTriplio does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their own marketing purposes. Ever.
Data Sharing
We share your personal data only with the following parties, and only to the extent necessary:
- Trip leads — your name, contact number, and any disclosed medical information relevant to the trip
- Accommodation providers — your name and number of guests for check-in purposes
- Payment processor (Razorpay) — to process your payment securely
- WhatsApp (Meta) — for trip communication via WhatsApp Business
- Law enforcement or regulatory authorities — only if required by law or court order
All third parties we work with are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Data Retention
- Booking and payment records are retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by Indian tax and accounting regulations
- Communication records (WhatsApp, email) are retained for 2 years from the date of your last trip
- If you have not booked a trip within 3 years and have not consented to marketing communications, your data may be deleted from our active systems upon request
- Anonymised, aggregated data (with no identifying information) may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes
